iTeachnology Expansion Program to Rural Ontario

Using iTeachnology, iSisters has expanded its reach to rural Ontario, specifically Lanark County, a community that would otherwise not have access to these services. This will bring learners online, encouraging them to continue benefiting from online technology and tools.

A one year partnership program between Lanark County Interval House (LCIH) and iSisters was made possible as a result of a $43,500 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).

Over the next year, Lanark County Interval House will work with the leadership of iSisters to embark on computer skill building opportunities for women who have fled abusive situations and are working toward a future free of violence.

By providing remote elearning in addition to its current in-class model, iTeachnology will expand iSisters’ range of technology-enabled support with partners and learners, multiplying program impact through remote partner capacity building.
