National Community Learning Award Winner!

iSisters has won the 2004 Conference Board of Canada's Community Learning Award for our Tungasuvvingat Inuit Technology Mentoring Program. This award recognizes innovative community-based programs that use technology to increase inclusiveness in society. iSisters Technology Mentoring Inc. won in the category of community-based learning opportunities for Aboriginals. We were showcased at the Partners 2004 Symposium: Finding the Power of Partnerships in Montreal on April 29 and 30, 2004

Community IT Hero Award!
iSisters was presented the Community IT Hero Award on May 6, 2003 from Industry Canada at a ceremony hosted by the
Information Technology Association of Canada, in conjunction with the Ottawa Centre for
Research and Innovation. This award recognizes leadership and dedication to improving
our community through the innovative use of information technology. Five local heroes,
sixty across Canada, received awards during Canada's third annual Information Technology
Week (May 2 - 11, 2003).
