Jolynn Sommervill brings her executive management skills to iSisters after five years with One World Arts (formerly WIAM), where she oversaw the strategic operations as well as the development and delivery of numerous educational, arts and technology programs for adults and youth. She directed five One World Film Festivals, founded Awesome Urban Arts Festival for Youth and an award-winning media-arts program at the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa.
Prior to her work in the non-profit community, Jolynn worked across Canada in the film industry on television series such as Street Legal, Kids in the Hall, Madison and Zaboomafoo.
Jolynn sits on the Board of Directors with MASC and on the organizing committee with the Reel Food Film Festival. She has sat as a jury member for the Ontario Arts Council, the Mississauga Arts Council and the Director's Guild of Canada annual awards. She received her BA from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and in keeping with her Prairie roots, is an avid competitive curler. Jolynn lives in Ottawa with her husband and daughter.
