“iSisters and Tungasuvvingat Inuit came together to offer a customized program of Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills for Inuit women living in Ottawa. Through your efforts of lobbying for computers, software, and office furniture, we were able to set up an Employment Learning Centre. With your help we also secured funding to hire someone to teach and oversee the program.

With your teaching expertise, onsite learning classes for Inuit women were set up in this new Employment Learning Centre. At the same time, iSisters offered training to the instructor so these classes would be offered to all Inuit in the community. Together we built a sustainable model that offers ICT classes and a supervised learning centre.”
